Desert Sage Health Centers Receives Grant to Help Patients with Transportation Barriers

Desert Sage Health Centers (DSHC) has been awarded a $59,642 grant from the Idaho Women's Charitable Foundation to help patients receive care in Boise by providing transportation options.  DSHC provides care in Mountain Home, Grand View and Glenns Ferry and on occasion patients need to travel to Boise to receive specialty care. However, some don't have reliable transportation to get to Boise.  By adding this service to their already comprehensive list, DSHC is helping patients face and overcome barriers to health care. Clinics are going to invest in their community by purchasing wheelchairs and an accessible van to transport patients who need it.
